A few insights you’ll gain

from our sessions:

  • Redefine grief as something you hold, not something you heal. It's about living with loss, not “getting over it.”

  • Discover how bonds with the departed don’t break; they just shape-shift into something new you can still celebrate.

  • Step into a space where every loss counts—from your lucky pen to your partner for life — and no heartache is too small to matter.

  • Learn real talk for real feelings—get scripts that help you speak your hurt and heal your connections.

  • Faith wobbling or walked away from the church? Let's chart your faith shift together—no judgments.

  • Meet the parts of you that fight, flee, or freeze, and learn to lead with your calm, wise Self.

  • Learn simple, effective ways to get relief fast when emotions overwhelm.

  • Realize your struggles aren’t bugs in your system; they’re backstory that shapes who you are and where you're headed.

  • Unpack the baggage of your upbringing without finger-pointing and move toward a life that’s fully yours.

  • Master the art of ‘both-and’ living—embrace the mess without reaching for the broom.

  • Been sidelined by your church or family for who you love or how you identify? Let’s figure out how to heal.

  • Inject a dose of kindness and compassion as we get curious about how you treat yourself and others.

  • Tune into your body's secret signals—dive deep with somatic and parts work to start healing from the inside out.

  • Myth, busted: The truth behind the so-called “stages of grief.”

  • Need a faith journey co-pilot? Navigate the gray zones of belief without the guilt.

  • Step into a zone where every emotion takes center stage—no feeling too hefty, no question too hushed.

I bring decades of experience with grief and loss, and am a former pastor turned secular counselor.

  • “Caring, careful, and conscientious ... She genuinely wants to serve her clients in the best way possible. I would recommend her humble, compassionate care to anyone suffering from loss or grief.”

  • “Nina helped me to be able to have a safe place to really talk about what I’m afraid of and gave me tools on how to handle why I acted/thought the way I did. I felt like she understood me but also helped me understand what I may have not seen before.”

  • “Nina is a compassionate and thoughtful psychotherapist. She brings her own life experience which informs her work and allows for true empathy.”

  • “I wanted to work with Nina because of her focus on grief and trauma, as well as her experience working with those who are deconstructing from a conservative religious background … I have experienced profound growth in the last year as a result of working with Nina.”

  • “Nina is skilled, brave, and compassionate. She naturally has such a calming and kind presence, and she's always focused on finding the most optimal ways to help her clients ….”

  • “Nina has been an incredible resource to me as I process my religious trauma and seek to grow into my higher Self. Her own history with Evangelicalism allows her to understand my story where others can’t, and she brings an awareness of fundamentalist Christianity that is integral to our work.”

  • “Nina feels like an old friend who makes you feel seen, heard, and cared for. Her ability to sit with clients' grief and provide a warm and inviting space to share is one of her many qualities that shine through her work as a therapist.”

  • “It takes a special heart to show up as Nina does for clients processing grief and healing from adverse religious experiences. Nina is present, incorporating warmth and humor. You'll be in the best hands when working with her!”

The profound experiences of grief won't quickly disappear, but finding support can ease the journey. Through therapy, you can gain the tools to navigate challenging emotions and situations.

Feeling the emptiness in places where you once shared laughs with your partner, or facing the daily sting of your child’s unused seat at the table.

Memories of your final talk with a friend who’s gone too soon, haunted by doubts
about what you could’ve missed or said differently.

Catching your reflection and not recognizing the person staring back, as you grapple with the aftermath of a breakup, job loss, or a faith that no longer feels right.

Opening the door to a home that’s too quiet, missing the excited barks or gentle purrs, carrying the weight of a presence that’s painfully absent.

Feeling like you’re losing pieces of yourself with each loss, caught in the unsettling reality of not knowing who you’ll be next.

Meet Your Therapist.

Hi, I’m Nina.

My life hasn’t turned out as expected, but here I am, thriving. I've faced deep personal losses and major life upheavals, which make me uniquely capable of sitting with others in their darkest moments.

My "secret sauce" is an innate ability to meet clients where they are, creating a safe, supportive environment from the start. I'm warm and compassionate, even when asking tough questions, always with the client's best interest at heart.

My clients know I'm on their team, and there's nothing I ask them to do that I haven't done myself. I'm dedicated to my own growth and therapy, and to bringing not just my qualifications but my whole, authentic self to every session.
